Stunning loop that will make you work a bit half way through. The views are amazing and if you are lucky you will see a herd of Wildebeest running on the plain. Best to do this loop early morning or late afternoon.

If you want to test yourself you can race this loop. The climb out of the valley is long. Not too steep and not too hard if you take it easy, but if you want to race it you will feel your lungs burn before you get to the top. Please beware of the water bars on the descent into the valley and look out for the sharp left turn to start the ride out of the valley. As mentioned earlier, the climb is long, but if you take your time and look around you will be rewarded with some amazing wildlife.

You start by doing the Ribbok in reverse. Halfway down the hill you will go left before dropping down a very steep 4×4 track (BEWARE) to the lowest point of the farm.
For the very adventurous … somewhere along this route one can find old bushman drawings. The climb back has found many people wanting … but we are sure you won’t be one of them.

This is a very beautiful loop and the best time of the day is early morning when it’s cool in the valley and the chance of seeing Kudu is the greatest. The descent into the valley is very steep and requires some focus. Once you are at the bottom you will ride along the river for a while passing the ruins of old gamekeepers cottages, before climbing back out to the escarpment. This is the most challenging of our stand-alone route options and will take you between 1h30 and 2h30 to complete.

If you want to do a big ride and combine all of the best Wolvekloof has to offer, this is your route.
You will start by doing the Ribbok loop in reverse, then you will join Kudu and finish off doing the Springbok loop. Beware of the very steep descent into the valley soon after joining Kudu. This is a big ride and you can expect to be out there for 3-4 hours. The best time of the day to ride “The Farm” is early morning.
