After three successful hunting days and an extremely enjoyable stay at Bloubos Jaghuis, the following:

The farm is breathtakingly beautiful with abundant game, a wide variety of which is seen daily.

Hunting with the dedicated support team is simply a pleasure.

Bloubos and Boma have everything and more and are in a different class – everything is clean and tidy, neat, and meticulously looked after.

Many thanks to Dan & Almarie for “hands on” involvement and Michael and Darrell for tracking and hunting expertise!

We are already planning our return next year!

My husband and I love wild spaces that include mountain biking and we found this little hidden gem in the Camdeboo area. We absolutely loved our stay in Bloubos Cottage. It was perfectly equipped, beautifully and comfortably furnished and cosy. It had wi-fi connection so we could work and communicate when we needed to. Almarie went out of her way to make us feel at home and welcome with some added thoughtful treats. She was wonderful with communication. We rode our bikes along their suggested routes, with some picnic stops. We saw so much beautiful wildlife including, Impala, Springbok, Kudu, Eland, Baboons, Mountain Zebra, Black Wildebeest, Sable, Warthogs, Hartebeest, Bontebok and a real treat, an Aardwolf. The birdlife was also wonderful along the rivers. The farm is really beautiful and vast – best ridden on an e-bike for us oldies 🙂 The views are breathtaking and give one a feeling of real wilderness. We would recommend Wolwekloof Karoo to anyone who wants a break from the busyness of life and a great place to explore.

Sometimes you luck upon a gem and Wolvekloof is certainly one of those! If you’re looking for something off the beaten track, with cute and comfortable cottages, and unbelievable Karoo mountain scenery, you will not be disappointed. Almarie and Dan are amazing hosts, and really make you feel at home. I would highly recommend your own 4×4 (or mountain bike) to truly appreciate the farm as there are spectacular trails over the surrounding valleys and mountains.

Beyond beautiful! I can stay there for months on end. Very friendly hosts, and the welcome pack waiting for you in the cottage, is beyond special. Don’t let the 40km gravel road bother you. Rather drive slow and enjoy the scenery. The road is however not bad.
